Organisers of ITT Hub (Innovation & Technology in Transport Hub) have announced the launch of a series of regular new podcasts featuring business leaders and industry personalities. The first podcast “Lunch with Leon” hosted by Leon Daniels OBE, will feature on the news channel (ITTHub.net) which supports the new, industry-led event, showcasing the best in transport innovation and technology for fleet operators, planners and policy makers.
The revamped news channel hosts the latest stories, videos, developments, insight and thought leadership from across the road transport industry. The new series of regular 20-30 minute podcasts will also include the “CV Focus” podcast hosted by well-known commercial vehicle industry Editor Matt Eisenegger, where the spotlight falls on vans, truck, logistics, manufacturers and companies across the sector. A selection of well-known industry players have already accepted the invitation to be part of the podcast revolution.
Announcing the launch, Mark Griffin, CEO ITT Hub, said:
“In the last four months, we have continued to receive exciting news from many companies who are working hard to deliver solutions for the journey to net-zero. There are some fantastic people in our industry with plenty of interesting developments and insights. We want to capture this news in a different way for our industry. Podcasts are a great way to hear from business leaders in a unique way, whether we are travelling, eating our lunch or simply carrying on with our daily lives.”

The very first “Lunch with Leon” podcast featuring an interview with Paul Sainthouse, President Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport will be hosted from Thursday 9 July.
Commenting on the news of the launch, Leon Daniels OBE said:
“I have spent most of my career on the other side of a microphone, so this is a hugely exciting opportunity to talk to industry colleagues. I’ll be finding out what makes them tick, what drives them, their view on the world and of course what they have for lunch”.

In the very first Lunch with Leon podcast, Paul Sainthouse gives his views on making some forms of transport behaviour “socially unacceptable”, in order to protect the environment.

The early summer months have also enabled Mark Griffin, along with the company’s Chairman Leon Daniels OBE, to finalise the team for the event next May at Farnborough International. The event website www.www.sustainableroadtransport.show has also been updated to reflect the latest support and content from the growing number of exhibitors for next year.

The full ITT Hub team includes:
- Mark Griffin, CEO: Mark had a 40-year career in the transport and events industry. Originally managing a 40-vehicle bus and coach operation, Mark moved to the exhibitions industry where he headed up an events and publishing business, which delivered over 100 trade and public shows.
- Peter Thompson, Commercial Director: Peter has spent 30 years in the media, marketing and exhibition industries. His senior experience at Reed Exhibitions included working on one of their most complicated exhibitions.
- Nick Fielding, Event Director: Nick brings 15 years of event experience to the ITT Hub team. Having worked previously at Farnborough International on the International Airshow, Nick knows our venue inside out.
- David Crawford, Commercial Vehicle Consultant: David has spent 25 years in the commercial vehicle sector and is best known for his 18-year role as Sales and Marketing Manager for the Commercial Vehicle Show.
- Susan Fairley, Marketing and Communications Director: Susan is the newest addition to the team and has worked at senior level for some of the UK’s largest trade events. She brings adjacent industry experience as former Head of Marketing and PR for Automechanika Birmingham.
- Mel Holley, Editorial Consultant: Mel has over 40 years transport journalism experience and oversees content for the ITTHub.net news channel, delivering thought leadership, news and analysis.
- Georgia Tolley, Event Administrator: Georgia is an event management student entering her final year at Coventry University. Georgia works with the team on general administrative projects.
ITT Hub’s state of the art venue, Farnborough International has been built to the highest specifications: a spacious, light, pillar-free exhibition hall, beautiful hospitality areas, ultra-modern ventilation systems, with plenty of accessible space for outdoor display and demonstration areas. The exhibition centre is located just off the south west section of the M25 and is easily accessible from all over the UK, with ample free car parking for all exhibitors and visitors.
